The past is slowly revealed in bits between the present-day events set in an expensive resort, on what seems to be indigenous land. The lives of the characters intersect in unexpected ways, and the truth is revealed in the end. Ultimately, the elitism, that mistreated and used others, wasn’t as untouchable as they all believed.
Graphic: Colonisation
Moderate: Animal death, Death, Drug use, Blood, Murder, Fire/Fire injury, Abandonment
Minor: Body shaming, Bullying, Sexual assault
Tip-toes into fantasy/sci-fi while keeping grounded in reality.
