The play reminded me the film The Official Story by Luis Puenzo. The play challenges to audience to understand what justice is. Why shouldn’t the torturer be treated the same? If Paulina enacts her revenge by wanted an eye for an eye is she better than her tormentor? Additionally, Dorfman wanted the audience to acknowledge themselves in the characters similarly to Cabaret by Kander and Ebb.
