Overall a frustrating read. At times I was tempted not to finish due to the disgusting way he wrote about girl and women characters,

as well as the sexual assault that seemed to be included solely for shock value

. The pacing was inconsistent and unsatisfying. I will admit to enjoying the magic system, but it's not enough to convince me to continue on in the series, nor would I recommend this book to anyone.
