One Life by Emma Brockes, Megan Rapinoe

2.0

Big soccer fan and supporter of MR’s advocacy. However, as a memoir, this comes up short. The writing is extremely repetitive: multiple moments where the exact same event or person is described in almost the exact same way many times throughout the book. Overall, lacks depth and introspection outside of her reasons for her advocacy.

Favorite moments: descriptions of soccer plays, womens’ US soccer equal pay movement, and her brother’s plight
