Frigid by Jennifer L. Armentrout

I enjoyed this book and believe it is a 4-star book except it was way to similar to books in this genre. I checked my book shelf twice to make sure I hadn't read it because everything was uber familiar. I am still baffled. So the plot was a 4-star, but I had to dock it a star for lack of originality and the extreme predictability.

Sydney "Syd" Bell has had a crush on her best friend, man-whore Kyler Quinn since they were in elementary school. She is his confidant, helper etc while Kyler changes plans on her in a dime so he can make out with any skirt that gives him the eye.

They are in college and it is getting increasingly hard for Syd to sit on the sidelines, when they get snowed in at a cabin. Sydney makes her move and they have sex. But a series of miscommunications delay the ride off to the sunset.

The writing was good, but this book was way too transparent. I also didn't buy Kyler's explanations and stuff. If he had loved her from the same time, why has he taken her for granted so much? Why has he shared all his conquests with her? I think he was attracted to her, but I don't know if he felt for her like she felt for him until they had sex and she blew him away (*pun intended). I would recommend this book for those who love Friends to lovers romances.
