Compared to the previous books, I felt like this book lacked the spark of sleuthing. It bored me a lot and kept making me disconnected with the entire investigation. Also, the revelation of the murderer was so lackluster. The whole revelation was just meh. While I loved the last two books, this books made me have a horrible reading slump. It just wasn’t a page turner compared to the others. Plus, I felt like the whole love triangle thing was inserted quite out of place and completely unneccessary. The love triangle conflict didn’t make me apprehensive on who Audrey will choose as endgame. At least that’s  what I think the author intended. The addition of Mephistopheles just made me annoyed with Audrey as a character.
