In May for mental health awareness month I was reading books that dealt with mental illness and I decided to pick up this one because it dealt with anorexia.
Disclaimer: It's been a while since I read this book so my review isn't going to be as extensive as I would like it to be.
I enjoyed this book, I liked the way it showed mental health but I do wish it was a little longer and went more in depth in his recovery from anorexia. I just felt like it went too fast and I wasn't really able to connect with the characters as much as I wish I could. Overall I really like the way it showed and talked about anorexia.
Graphic: Body horror, Eating disorder, Forced institutionalization, Self harm, and Body shaming
Moderate: Infidelity
