One of my favorite books this year. If you had to read Huck Finn in grade school, this is required reading as an adult. I love how Percival took the key moments of Huck Finn and expanded them into this incredible narrative of the slave Jim, whose proper name is James. Because we all know a thirteen year old boy would never survive on the Mississippi River on his own--the story of Huck Finn is really a story about James and this is book James deserves.
