Pretty Boys Are Poisonous: Poems by Megan Fox

I wanted to give Fox’s book a chance, but I really hated it. I like anything that makes art more accessible but I couldn’t help but feel that this book falls under that new category of bastardizing poetry: the “instagram-ification”. I think there were maybe two salvageable poems in the entire book which makes me feel like Fox has poet potential but was just cranking out content to make a book. The language was also very cringe; it felt like she was trying way too hard to sound young and be relatable.
