I've heard a lot about this book and I have to say, all of them are true. It's just a matter of preference whether you'll like or hate this book.

First of all, the heat level is outstanding and there were some very interesting scenes in here. You need to be in the mood to read spicy books, though, since it takes up a good portion of the story. Unless you're specifically looking for high heat books, steer away from this.

Second, the characters were all well-developed. Their dynamics were also smooth and flows well. Considering how thick this book is and how the story is mainly character-driven, that's a given.

Now, this brings us to the things that you might not like. The plot is almost non existent. There is a plot, but it's stretched too thin, and you might get bored waiting for something to happen. The book focuses more on character interactions, so the plot was often pushed aside.

That may not be a bad thing, but there were also a lot of filler inner monologues. Some of their lines were also cheesy and downright cringey. A bad combination. I had to actually scan the last few pages just to be done with the book because the story was so drawn out.

Anyway, it's not a bad read. Overall, I liked it! So, if you're into:
  • Mafia/Mobsters
  • Fight with rival family
  • Obsessive/possessive alphaholes with touch her and die attitude
  • Psychos
  • Badass FMC
  • Tattooed and pierced characters
  • High heat
  • Enemies to lovers
  • Gore and dark
Then you'll like this! Just manage your expectations and make sure you're in the right mood when your read this book.
