This was good! the twist
wasn’t that shocking for me, because the back cover “one will escape by dying, another by lying, a third by taking the fall” was too ambiguous considering the reader found out almost immediately who died, and so I knew that Rain would be dead instead.
.  it was written well, a bit jarring that modern day references were littered all throughout this book because i usually read fantasy or classics.
