This book was filled with what felt like sticky notes from Gaiman's desk that Riddell doodled on which _sounds_ great but didn't really have the desired effect. Too many obvious statements (only way to teach literate children is to teach them to... Read.. yeah...), a lot of statements felt not that thought through and the whole thing seemed thrown together at it's worst. But! A lot of it was still good and inspiring to me as an artist, and I enjoyed the little peek into the mind of a writer as great as Neil Gaiman. And also, as someone already said on their review, Riddell could stab me with a pencil and I'd say thank you.
