This was a really abnormal book. The reason I rated it 4 stars is because it's a paranormal romance, which I usually avoid like the plague, but this one's good. It had some, well, interesting Southern culture, and also a plot line that didn't drag on and on. At the same time it wasn't to wishy-washy, but instead had an aspect of believability that was refreshing(no shiny vampires-thank goodness!). I'm not sure what to think of the ending, because if it is what I think it is, the authors are edging towards dragging it on. Overall, a rare, and welcome, fantastical love story.
