I originally DNFd this book back in May almost 30% way through because I was horrified - to be fair, it was the first "dark" book I had read and I might have maybe jumped too far deep in. Now that I have read a few darkish books and continue to still hear raving reviews behind it, I decided to give it another shot. After finishing it, I'm still giving it 0 stars. This book is...a hot mess. The writing is poor at best, and the characters...have mercy. No shame to those who love it, but I just can't.
