Plain Jane: Brunettes Beware by Cristyn West

3.0

The plot was by far the driver of this story. It was interesting, it flowed well, and had plenty of twists and turns that were truly unexpected. The characters left a little to be desired for me. They were a little flat and the pace of the plot did not lend itself well to more developed characterization. Some misused (read: unedited) word confusion was hard to get past, specifically affect/effect, lead/led. Kindle formatting could use some work, as there were several awkward page breaks and several blank pages. The story itself was grotesque and enjoyable and made my treadmill time go much faster.
