One of Us Is Lying by Karen M. McManus

(3.5 stars really)

I’ve realized that I’ve started to really like this vein of book—teen murder mystery type thing, multiple perspectives/narrators, etc.

This was another one of those good ones. It was easy to follow, fun to read and had certain moments of depth and heart. Of course it had its moments of cliche and familiarity, but even still, it managed to also stay relevant and engaging the whole way through. I honestly didn’t see the ending coming until right before the characters did, which was actually a nice way to find out. The characters struggled with being more than one dimensional at times, which led to them trying too hard in other spots. But all in all, solid read with a great storyline.
