Oh this was a good time!!! Papa Devin stood on business and that is what is up!!! I am a sucker for a step daddy and a daddy that stepped up! This was a really good balance of plot and love story!!! I enjoyed getting to know more about Smoke, he was quite a great character and was actually quite mature. I liked how he actually chose to get to know room some more, before exploring anything more than "friendship". Romi was also really great! She was soft and strong at the same time and I loved how she was willing to stand up for herself!!
As for the story, this was an interesting plot!! It upped the stakes for the development of Romi and Smoke’s relationship because there was this tension with that trifling man! I enjoyed reading Smokes protective intstincts and how that extended to Romi’s daughters!! These two were too cute and this was a good read!!
