Ari and Dash have been friends forever. Their families were always together and Ari has always had a crush on Dash. After an embarrassing moment with Dash when they were young, Ari vows to hate Dash forever. Dash is a successful actor but can’t get past a bump in his career. During Dash’s visit home for his brother’s wedding he and Ari decide to leave the past in the past and be friends. When “just friends" becomes "just once" and turns into “just right now” will they develop strings or be able to let each other go when Dash goes back to Hollywood!?

Melanie Harlow did it again, I absolutely loved Ari and Dash. I sometimes have a hard time relating to the actor trope but Dash is so down to earth. Ari and Dash were hilarious together, the chemistry was off the charts, and their relationship was so sweet. I literally cried, laughed, and swooned (and everything in between). I loved how Ari was so self aware and didn’t necessarily disagree with what Dash did but was more embarrassed. I also loved her dedication to her family and town. Dash showed so much emotional growth, and really matured during his time home. I loved seeing the brothers again and the addition of papa Buckley’s story, ugh, 🥺. This book had it all and I loved every second of it!!
