First re-read of CF after yearsssss of having read it. It was interesting to see the differences between the book and the film this time around. For one, the book explained some things so much better, but at the same time, some of the intense moments (and I hate saying it) felt better portrayed in the film. In the book, it’s two sentences of Katniss’ explanation, versus the chaos of the scene in the film that drove in the real panic and weight for me. At times, I felt too trapped in Katniss’ head. This book also felt much slower paced than THG. Still, it’s undeniably such a powerful read.
