An excellent overview of the ways dictatorships come to be and conditions that lead to the rise of dictatorships (as well as their fall), presented in a tongue-in-cheek tone as the narrator coaching the reader on how to start their own dictatorship, with lots of examples of real-life dictatorships from around the world including Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, and North America, from times long past up to recent decades and the present day. A must-read for anyone aged Teen to Adult, to give much-needed context and understanding to both history and current events, and help readers recognize red flags - I cannot recommend this enough!
