I picked this book up due to the length. I needed a quick read to go with what I was doing. I am glad that I picked this book up! I ended up liking it a lot.
Keira isn't exactly lovable character, but she is well written. You could feel for her and put yourself in her place. All other characters are stereotypical. I think it is good as having to explain why they aren't stereotypical would take too much away from the story.
I am going to keep reading this series as I want to know who Keira was before she came to Blighty. I want to know why she can see the dead.
Edited to add: I have read some reviews. Why complain about things being left open if you knew it was the 1st in a series? It's obvious things NEEDED to stay open.
