Anatomy: A Love Story
by Dana Schwartz
3.5 stars rounded up
Hazel has been studying for years to become a physician by reading all of her father’s books. However, there is now an opportunity to study with the famous Dr. Beecham, who is providing anatomy lessons. Hazel attends class dressed in her brother’s clothes, because women are not allowed to study these lessons. She also meets Jack, a resurrection man, also known as a grave robber. Jack digs up bodies and sells them to doctors and schools to study. Hazel pays him to provide her bodies to study for her anatomy lessons. However, there are men killing resurrection men, so Hazel and Jack team up for safety reasons, and maybe due to some romantic feelings too. This was a fun read, but I was wanting a bit more from this story. However, I do plan to pick up the next book at some point.
