This book, as the name suggests (broadly) takes you through the last twenty-four hours of a condemned man's life, and let me tell you, it is utterly devastating. Monsieur Hugo does not disappoint, his writing style is blood-curdingly descriptive, and ruthlessly interconnected. I have cried over mundane details I happened to notice. Graphic: Confinement, Death, Abandonment
Moderate: Emotional abuse, Suicidal thoughts
Minor: Addiction
