I have a new fondness for skeletons. Gideon’s got a sword, a stack of dirty mags, and no patience for the goth nonsense of the Ninth House. Harrow her enemy drags her into a deadly space palace full of magic trials, necromancers, and way too many skeletons, she pretends to be Harrows cavalier. Divided and defeated all so Harrow can become Lyctor to the Empire.
This is a Gothic sci-fi fantasy with lesbian undertones, but no spice . Space, ancient secrets, murder puzzles, and dialogue that crackles like a lit match. Great banter, sharp wit, it’s mysterious, twisty and fast paced. The vibes? Haunted castle meets sarcastic fanfic energy.
It’s weird, messy with heart and bones (lol) and more attitude than a resurrected corpse with something to prove.
You’ll either vibe with it hard or wonder what the hell just happened. Either way, you won’t forget it.
