Fascinating scifi/dystopian concept with interesting characters and a great voice, as well as some deep exploration of grief, shame, and forgiveness. I loved the framing device of speaking to Beau. The ending was satisfying in its open-endedness. I appreciate the hope (small-scale) amongst the depressing nature of the world around them
