The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab

5.0

It's one of those books that transports you, take you to places, muffles the sounds around you and blurs out the place you are physically in. It shows the difference between love and obsessions, of wanting and needing, of comfort and home. It shows the consequences of blindly wanting something and the destruction brought upon by desperation.

This is the first book that I read written by V.E. Schwab and I fell in love with her writing. It's so captivating and I got lost in her words. I got lost so much that I forgot where I really was, here in the comforts of my home or out there in the world. Also, her writing is so good that it touches unchartered areas on life, love, death and regret. Areas that, as of now, I haven't seen other writers had touched. But I can still be proven wrong. Either way, it is my favorite book this year (so far).

Recommended for people who loves enemies to lovers trope and loves getting lost in the pages to be transported in different places. I also recommend this for those who want to understand what a lifetime means and the kinds of loveve that you experience in between.
