I decided to read this book after seeing people say great things about it. I was not expecting much from 50 cent and do not support him due to his pettiness and his mistreatment of black women. However, I decided to listen to the audiobook from my library and discovered that I was completely wrong. Although he did not address his comments he made about darker skinned black women, he does talk about other things that made me dislike him (ie, his relationship with his son, his pettiness on social media, his bullying of Tearirra Mari). I still don’t condone his behavior, however, this book does contain so many keys to being successful that actually makes sense. He often would dumb things down and use real examples from his life to further explain each point or rule. One main takeaway is: you don’t have to like someone to learn from them and this book was certainly proof of that.
