a gothic novel set in 1817 in edinburgh – sign me up!!
this was so much better than i thought it would be?? the romance was absolutely adorable and i really enjoyed hazel's character. the overall vibes of the book were eery and gloomy, but it kept me hooked the entire time. the mystery aspect was also interesting, though i do feel this one ended a bit abruptly (and sadly) but i'm hoping that's because it pathed the way for the second book <3
