An excellent different read than what I usually go for. It is definitely very dark in the sense of the apocalyptic world it is set in. Humanity is at its lowest, and death is constantly happening throughout the book. An Zhe is so wonderful and precious. There is not a lot of romance in this volume, but I can see it developing later on. For the moment there is too much going on for both of them for love to happen. I will be reading the next volume and am intrigued by what will happen.
