The Paper & Hearts Society by Lucy Powrie

4.0

This book was just what I needed. I adore this from the start, and I couldn't put it down. It's a beautiful novel about friendship and books. It tackles the issues of bullying, social media and mental health. The novel follows Tabby who joins a book club, she meets Olivia, Cassie, Ed and Henry. They are a close knit friendship group already, and Tabby struggles to feel that she fits in. Together they have book themed events and go on a bookish road trip ( Something I have always wanted to do). My favourite character was Ed, though I argee with Olivia, Jane Austen is the best.

When I started to read this I thought I would have loved this 10 years ago, but I changed my mind quickly, I loved it now. I have an urge to travel to bookish places. It was a warm cosy book, which just captured my heart. I thought the write was lovely, it was easy to read, and just enjoyable. I cannot wait to see what Lucy does next, and read the other books in the series.
