Ahsoka by E.K. Johnston

3.0

I have to admit, I found the book to be really slow overall. It does pick up eventually, but I just wish there was more action throughout. I really tried to love this book because I love Ahsoka as a character. I was excited to dive deeper into her personality and see how the end of the Clone Wars affected her, but the pacing made it tough to stay engaged.

The first half felt like a lot of buildup with little payoff—Ahsoka moves from one planet to another, finds a job, and not much else happens. When the Empire finally invades, things start to get more interesting, but even then, some plot points felt underdeveloped and almost pointless.

It wasn't until the last 150 pages that the story really grabbed my attention. Looking for lightsabers battles? They barely make an appearance until the very end, which was a bit disappointing.

Overall, while I appreciated the deeper look into Ahsoka's character, I just wish the book had more of the action and adventure that I love about Star Wars.
