High school senior Plum Winter has always felt second-best to her older sister Peach, a famous influencer. When an invite to an exclusive influencer festival in the Caribbean comes for Peach in the mail, Plum intercepts it and takes Peach’s place on the trip, along with her two best friends, Sofia and Marlowe. However, what seems like the trip of a lifetime soon turns into a nightmare when people start dying one by one on this creepy, run-down island.

Described as an “Agatha Christie-inspired YA thriller/comedy”, this novel strove to deliver the vibes of a modern-day, Gen Z version of And Then There Were None. While I’m sure this book was intended to be a parody of the classic Christie novel, it was just too ridiculous to capture a comedic element. The writing style was immature and choppy, and the characters were awful and one-dimensional. On a positive note, it’s a fast read and could definitely be a binge-worthy guilty pressure…
