So incredibly good and important, I loved it. The writing was fantastic as always and the story was super intriguing and gut-wrenching. Tackling heavy topics like racism and colonization were tough and it was hard to read at times because of how real it felt, but it was so well-done and was exactly how those conversations and feelings are. So fuck Letty for real and she can rot for all I care, but it was so true to life in how someone like Letty would rationalize her decisions being truly unable to see the other side . Overall, I really enjoyed it even though it was pretty slow-paced and I didn’t connect to the characters as much as I usually do. Rebecca absolutely is not scared to kill her main characters at any time (I’m sensing a pattern lol) but I felt like Ramy, Griffin, and even Robin in the end didn’t impact me as much as it should have because I was invested in the story but not the characters as much .
