This is one of my favorite series ever...maybe my all time favorite fantasy series.

Lia's character arc from the first book to the last is phenomenal. Legit the best female protagnist I have ever read. Her going from a scared princess running from a wedding she didn't want to the tough soldier she was by the end was fascinating and so well written.

Rafe. Sigh. To see him step into his role as King and still trying to protect Lia was heartbreaking at times. There were times where I was afraid the two wouldn't end up together...like until the last two pages. I was literally heartbroken thinking the two would rule their kingdoms independently and not be together in the end. I'm glad we were able to that they would at least be attempting it. I do want more though. It's the romance fan in me. I like to read the HEA and I wish I had gotten more of theirs.

Now Kaden. I kinda saw his ending coming but I love it. I think him and Pauline are well suited and make an adorable couple. I've read that some aren't as fond of the pairing but I thought it was perfect and figured that was what would come when he mentioned his vision.

Also can we have a moment of silence for Jeb. I loved that guy. I knew there would be casualties as there always are in books like this but he was definitely my favorite of the three (although I loved them all).

This series was damn near perfect and is definitely on my re-read list.
