Fun! It was definitely Percy-Jackson-Does-Mayan-Mythology (but with a Latinx & person with a disability twist, so yay!), but my run while you read needs were met. I also wish the two post scripts weren't in there as the book's ending was pretty strong otherwise. I mean, the book is for kids so
epilogues make sense, but I thought the mic drop of an ending was pretty awesome. Also, it was fun to learn a bit about Mayan mythology - I zoned out quite a bit, but think I caught a decent amount.

I'll read the sequel when it comes out in the fall! 3 stars - I liked it.
