I enjoy Reid's writing, but I think I just find it hard to like some of her characters.
Case in point: Mona. I didn't dislike her, but I definitely did not warm up to her at all. Meanwhile, Abram was quite a lovely man.
So it was a bit of a confusing read for me emotionally - I didn't really care, but I really wanted to know what the heck happens next and immediately bought the next book. Ugh.
