What an unusual book! Each chapter has 3 parts. The first is a story of a healing that Jesus did. It is told from the perspective of the one who is healed. That brought such a different view of why the healing was needed and how it was experienced. The second part is the exploration of various aspects of the text such as word meanings and the times and culture. The third part is a segment of the author's experience of her own transition through difficult times. The book gave me a fresh view of this ministry of Jesus. I took time reading it meditatively.
