The Shift: One Nurse, Twelve Hours, Four Patients' Lives by Theresa Brown
informative
slow-paced
3.0
The Shift is a memoir by Theresa Brown documenting a day in the life of an oncology nurse.
This was an interesting read and the upmost respect must be given to all healthcare professionals. I was a little confused as to who this book was aimed at, there was an incredible about of detail to an excessive degree at times which felt over the top for a layperson and obvious for a nurse. Whilst interesting and insightful, admissions of short cuts (although explained) are somewhat alarming from a patient perspective.
