Forever Young by Hayley Mills
5.0

I LOVED Hayley Mills when I was growing up! I'm not one to read too many biographies but I was very excited when this came out. She only goes through the early 1970s which was kind of a bummer because I would have liked to have read more, especially her being on Saved By The Bell in the early days, when it was called Good Morning Miss Bliss. Being a child star is never an easy life and the fact that her government took 91% of her childhood earnings is flat out robbery. I found the book fascinating!

"Because nobody can tell you you're worthy of being loved if you don't believe it yourself."

"Whoever we are, whatever our backgrounds, whatever crisis we face, whether it's struggles with money or teenage hormonal Armageddon, I believe that, at its core, the reason anyone becomes trapped in habitual self-harm is the same for everyone: low self-esteem."
