This was fun. I won't pretend I didn't feel that Harriet the Spy/Spy Kids/Agent Cody Banks/The 39 Clues nostalgia combining nicely with those contemporary romcom butterflies. However, I do think there's room for improvement. I hope Carter continues porting her spy romcom ouvre from YA to adult audiences, and continues to improve each time, because let's be real she is the only one filling this niche right now.
