Despite touching on some pretty dark subjects (domestic violence, homophobia), this is a warm, funny and lightweight read. Sure, it's not groundbreaking, but it's pacy, well written, and full to bursting with characters you'd like to be friends with. Kudos to the author for inserting random words related to death, burials and murder into unrelated conversations between characters - that was clever!
