Hannah and the Ramadan Gift by Qasim Rashid

3.0

I love the illustrations (Aaliya Jaleel never misses), but this is kind of wordy for a picture book. I like that the grandfather is trying to introduce the spirit of Ramadan to Hannah since she's not old enough to fast yet, but the narrative seemed a bit choppy and disjointed. My five-year-old didn't feel any real emotional connection to Hannah as a reader.
