I'm not able to think straight yet. All I can say is that even though I cried my eyes out for probably 80% of the book, and I hated the fact that while reading the back cover of the book I found out pretty much everything that was gonna happen, I still love this book very much! I don't know, I'm a sucker for tragedy, but in this case, it was Edwina's strong personality and her capacity to go on and be strong for her family even when all she wanted to do was cry was really empowering and touching. I love strong female characters, and I love them even more when they come from times when women weren't supposed to be like that.
