Dreamland: The True Tale of America's Opiate Epidemic
by Sam Quinones
This book has a huge amount of information in it, and I loved that part. I did find it to be a bit confusing because of the organization of the chapters. One chapter would be about people affected by heroin, the next about the legal battles around prescription opioids, then to a chapter about a black tar heroin dealer, then back to the legal battles, then back to the heroin dealers, etc. I could see how the chapters somewhat built on each other, but it was hard to keep up with at times. Overall, I would recommend the book because of the in-depth knowledge that the author has about heroin and opioids.
