So this book was just okay. It was basically war then a little peace, war then a little peace, war then a little peace, etc. Also there were so many people with the same names that it was getting quite ridiculous. I counted at least four Richards two of which are brothers. And too many Margarets. I guess that's not the author's fault though. It makes me kind of glad people come up with more interesting names for their kids these days. I did somewhat like the end. I was able to relate to the love she had for her boys. Although it's kind of disturbing how the girls were more than a far 2nd to the boys. I found the Melusina/water goddess/witch stuff interesting. I especially enjoyed the tone of the telling to the Melusina story. I'm torn as to whether or not to read the next book in the series or Gregory's other series.
