“To prove what kind of person I really am to everyone. But in reality, I’m not even sure what kind of person I truly am either. After wearing a mask for so long, I realized I lost a sense of my own identity.”
I absolutely loved this webtoon, it was a cute fluffy and heartwarming story about Landon who is very skeptical about the sincerity of people who meets Rachelle, an innocent, kind and naïve girl; at first Landon is very doubtful about her genuineness but we see him grudgingly start to care for her.
Can we just take a moment to acknowledge the fact that the book is written from the guy’s perspective which I almost never see, especially in romance, and it was a breath of fresh air.
I loved the relationships in this book they were very realistic and heartwarming. Not only the relationship between our main couple, we also had not one but two brother-sister relationships that I just adored, but my favorite, aside from our main OTP, is defiantly Landon and Taiga, their friendship was just so good an unique, Taiga was such a darling who cared for Landon in his own way.
I appreciated the message that this book sends about how much we hide ourselves to fit in with what society expects or us and deems “appropriate” and that their opinions do not matter, and that you should do what makes you happy and never doubt yourself.
The art was beautiful and in some of the chapters we had some amazing melodies played which helped set the mood. If you want a cute, cliché YA romance, I recommend you check it out. You can find it for free on webtoon.
