Kepnes put the reader right into the thick of Joe’s obsession from page one. With that being said, I feel like this loses a lot of the suspense present in her other novels, and makes it clash tonally with the other books in the series, as well as one major difference in characterization. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed it.
