Loved the two leads, could not effing stand pepper's mom. Terrible parent behavior (not appropriately punished by the narrative) is one of my biggest YA pet peeves and it was bad enough here that it hindered my experience. Also, the last third felt anticlimactic. But overall cute & fun!
