Out of the Dawn by P.C. Cast

3.0

Embrace the captivating saga of Into The Mist and brace yourself for the exhilarating journey that awaits in Out Of The Dawn. To truly grasp the intricacies of this gripping narrative, immersing yourself in the depths of Into The Mist is an absolute prerequisite. Understanding the characters, their perilous situation, and the unfolding events demands a foundation laid by the first book.

The relentless battle against the mist persists. Its ever-changing nature continues to wield profound influence, bestowing extraordinary powers upon some women while striking fear into the hearts of others. Remarkably, the mist's eerie impact extends to a few courageous men, a rarity given its lethal reputation. This pivotal shift dramatically alters the trajectory of the tale, thrusting our protagonists into uncharted territory.

Marvel at the awe-inspiring world meticulously crafted by PC Cast. Witness the sheer determination of these women as they construct their homes from the raw elements of mud and clay. They have metamorphosed into a resilient tribe, fashioning a new reality amidst adversity. Their profound connection to the earth and their reverence for it are profoundly moving. Their survival is not just a desire but a necessity, a testament to their unwavering spirit.

It covered various themes that were touched with delicacy but importance, and I liked watching the characters evolve and grow together. Although I liked the magic system, I didn't quite understand it and I still have the uncertainty of where the mist came from and what was its purpose. However, I still enjoyed the nail-biting suspense and the sisterhood of these characters.
