Things I liked:
- Barrett is a very well developed character with good morals, a sense of responsibility and justice, and overall a "good" man
- this story is one that could easily happen, and probably has, in popular culture especially with the prevalence of drugs in upper socioeconomic classes, and I very much enjoyed this story
Things I did not like:
- I had a hard time connecting with any of the characters - none were memorable
- while the book is over the course of two years, the plot moved slowly
